My three pups had a rough time last night - especially my Sheltie, Doggie. He's kind of high-strung anyway, but he was coming apart at the seams. I had to sit in the garage with him (with the radio on to cover up the noise) to calm him down. My chihuahuas, Napoleon & Pixie, were better, but still disturbed. Thank God it's only one night a year.

....or two if one counts New Year's (a big deal here.)

I'm sorry it was a rough night for you and the babies, Blues Songstres I'm glad they had you to comfort them, especially Doggie. I hope you all sleep well.

The neighbors kitty-corner behind us alternated between long strings of noisy firecrackers, roman candles, and actual high in the sky, light up the sky fireworks.

We are keeping a friend's chinchilla while they are on vacation and his ears kept going to full alert status, but he wasn't freaking out.

Ohmygawd chinchilla! I luuurve chinchillas! I live for chinchillas! In the 4th grade I did a whole report on chinchillas! You need to post pictures!

We actually didn't have any fireworks this year. Usually there's people down the road banging them off like there's no tomorrow, but not tihs year. Maybe they finally realized that they're illegal here in Massachusetts.

And actually, they never bothered Stinki much. She would be slightly annoyed by them, but then she'd roll over and start snoring, which pretty much totally drowns out all the noise. Always.
...And the strange boy continued to weave in and out of her life, leaving her with a sense of wonder and amazment, but also, a feeling of loss, knowing that life might never be the same again.

Hardy has turned into a big ol' lap baby here recently.

Aww, Unk, what sweet, sweet photos! Hardy looks absolutely loveable.

Thank you for starting my day with a big ol' smile.

OMG Unk, in that first pic Hardy looks exactly like my long-gone kitty T.C. I got him as a kitten when I was 10 and named him "Tiger Claws" or T.C. for short...when I got older I was embarrassed about the name Tiger Claws so I told everyone T.C. was short for "The Cat".

Unk: You've got a real problem there. A cat increasing and a lap decreasing. Somethings gotta give.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Uncle David, when the belly gets smaller, the sitting spot for the kitty gets bigger! At least if you have short legs like I do.

Unk, Hardy is going to end up HUGE by the looks of it! Or is it just that picture?

Unfortunately, he really does have to go get his teeth cleaned Monday. The back ones look pretty bad.
