I wanna come live at Marley's house. Right on that couch.

Canuck: I love the pic of your dog, but I'm particularly enamored of the left back leg position.

    Looking forward to seeing those!

Mr. lei and I are also suckers for vulnerable sleeping pics. Our most frequent model is silly Daniel, aka Daniel Striped Tiger Keanu Reeves David Cassidy Constantine Maroulis Harrison Ford Kiddens.

Dying cockroach, or just showing off? You decide

Lei I think they are just showing how cute they are!

    Love the pictures!

Our boys are both couch potatoes but they usually stick to opposite ends of the couch. That's why we rarely have pictures of both of them together. Occasionally, Simon (elderly, deaf Jack Russell) happens across Henry (Dachshund) resting his long self on the back of the couch. That usually causes a dispute and a lot of barking. Henry usually gives in and waddles off to his alternative favorite place - under the covers on our bed. Crazy dogs!

Marleybone - I love that picture - can't get enough.

Lei - silly Daniel looks so comfy! It must be, because Joey does it all the time.

doxie - thanks for the little video that's playing in my head right now of Simon & Henry doing the couch shuffle, which reminds me of something that happened with my folks Bassett Hound (Missy-62 pounds) and Blue/gray Tabby (Max 14 pounds): They were nose to nose because Max was mad that Missy got to go out to do her job and my mom didn't take Max out yet that day. Max was growling at Missy and she was barking right in his face and growling, so before it escalated, my folks broke it up because Max was getting into "swipe position" with his claws and right front leg. Having my folks describe this, had me in hysterics.

gabriel, your story about the cat being mad at the dog because she got to go out and he didn't hits close to home. Except my cat was mad at the weather!

We finally got some much needed rain the other day and it rained all day. I opened the door to get the mail and our cat was ready to run out but stopped short at the door because of the rain. Then he starting growling and throwing what I equate to a child's temper tantrum. He started swatting at the dog like it was his fault or something and then he huffed around until he remembered he still had food in his dish and that quieted him down until it quit raining.

Marley and Lei: Looks like you two should get Luke and Daniel together.

    Re: For animal lovers

Good morning and thank you, everyone, for the giggles. What a wonderful way to start the day

I'm off the shelter in a bit for pet therapy day. I have no intention of topping off our tribe to a six-pack again but if someone makes it absolutely irresistibly clear that they are meant to be with us, well, I'll keep you posted.

    Aloha everyone

I could no more go to the shelter and not come back with a new addition to the family than I could go to See's Candies and not eat the free sample.
