Of course, I will admit to being 100% dog-person (if you promise not to throw stuff at me), and I will also say that I have met exactly one cat in my life that has agreed with me. However, I can say that I like the leopard spots on it, it makes it look tres chic--like something you'd find in a Manhatan loft.
As for the small dog, I mean, that's great, but I dig the larger breeds myself. Great Danes are my favorite, then Newfoundlands (hi Newf!) and Shar Peis. I'm going to want to see this new dog, maybe I'll get luicky and it will be like a Not-so-Great Dane or something!
:hiya I didn't know you had such exquisite taste in dogs :upQuote:

UncleDavid: Yes, I was thinking Bengal as well.
Gutmutter and doxie: I had a terrible vet at the Vet College in Sask. I had to drive my beloved Snowflake there because of a heart condition. Long and emotionally painful story short, when we got back I reported to my vet what had happened and what she put us through. The bad vet literally put my Snowflake into respiratory arrest! She almost died then and there. Needless to say, my vet called the College's president and got that vet fired. It wasn't a surprise apparently.
lei: ooooo you know someone who has an Ashara? Cool!

Well, I met the new vet. Needless to say, she ok. Just ok. Thank GOSH the vet asst. Deb, is still there. She has been there with my old vet for the past 18 years. Deb knows all the owners, pets, suppliers, everyone.
The new vet, Dr. Gail, has some very, very, big shoes to fill. She did however, manage to comfort Gracie and give the shot without adventure. She could not check Gracie's heartbeat. She tried 3 times without success. Twice with the stethescope and once with her hand by Gracie's thigh. I guess the little princess was just purring too much to count the beats. Imagine that! I welcomed the new doctor and I'm sure she will be fine. If not, I'm sure her clientele will be looking elsewhere. We're a very picky bunch! :poke
As you should be! Furry and non-furry people should never have to settle for less-than-great medical care :nod I'm glad it went okay at least, for now.Quote:

They are our favorite band, and they have such interesting personalities, it just kinda figured ;)Quote:

Pwettybird -Ace & Bam are sure cute- Welcome!
Waldo is not as dumb as he looks.
I like the quaker breakfast bars. And lately, I've been sitting up in bed at night and having one as a snack while I read. Waldo sits right next to the bed and watches me and then sniffs the wrapper after I put it on the night table.
Well, I had put one in my purse the other day thinking that I would be out all day and I might need a quick snack. Sat. night I had left my purse on the floor in the kitchen.
I woke up yesterday morning and the quaker bar out of my purse was laying on the floor right next to the bed in front of the night table. The wrapper was intact. No chewing, no rips. It looks as if he got it out of my purse and carefully carried it in and layed it right where I would find it when I woke up.
Considering that he routinely checks the garbage for treats and tears up paper towels, I was astounded that he had not tried to eat this. But he came over when I woke up and was so loving (I have felt awful all weekend. Really sick and ended up with an ER visit yesterday) and the breakfast bar was intended as a gift. He is definetly one smart dog I think.
He has not pooped in the house since my daughter has been gone. So 2 weeks now. She comes home tomorrow and I told her if starts pooping in the house again, she has to leave! :lol
Bless Waldo's heart :biglove Hope you're feeling better, MRD! :cheek
