    Re: For animal lovers

Hi guys. Thanks for all the support the past few days.

My news is part sad, part encouraging. The sad is that I found my missing cat today and he had indeed died. I'm afraid that there wasn't much left of him after a week in the heat, so that was difficult. However, I felt better having closure on his fate.

Now for the good news. Little Kitty, Laurel and Hardy's mom, is coming home from the hospital tomorrow. She responded to antibiotics and steroids over the weekend, so the vet is very optimistic that she had some sort of massive infection. He said that only time will tell for sure, but that he is very encouraged by how well she's doing.

Aww Star I'm so sorry to hear the bad news. Like you said at least you know what happened. Great news on the boys' mom however. I'm sure Little Star will be glad to see her.

After we unloaded, I walked all over the house looking for him. I even looked in places that I knew he couldn't be (like the basement and the garage). I called my SIL to see if they had stopped by our house (since they have a key) and may have seen him, but no luck. After about a HOUR (I was really starting to panic), he came strolling out of the guest room like he owned the world. I'm guessing he was mad because we went away and left him. He's still not back to normal. Guess that'll teach me!
They do that every time, and how many times did you look and Dunkin was probably looking right at you?

STARGAZER - You can be assured that Mona has met the kitty at the Rainbow Bridge. We'll keep thinking about Laurel & Hardys Mom and praying.

Star, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your kitty. I guess he knew it was his time and that is why he left you. I am glad that you have closure and don't have to worry about him anymore, although I am sure you and your daughter are missing him.

On the other hand, great knews about L&H's mom! I was thinking about her all weekend. Here's to a speedy recovery for her.

Star, I'm sorry about Hoss. But I'm glad you found him so you know what happened. And excellent news about Little Kitty.

Star... There's no emoticon for how I feel. Although I'm joyous that the news about Lil' Star is hopeful, my soul aches for your loss. My heart stays with you through these trying times.

Star, I join everyone in condolences for your loss, and joy for your good news.

My Tulpa has another new friend at the Rainbow Bridge, and my Rainey is happy that she and Little Star have healed enough for some more time here.

And speaking of Rainey, what a trooper. While we can't safely remove her tumor, she is doing well and staying comfortable (she likes her meds.) She still gets around for meals etc, using her steps to the bed. She no longer limps, and has even recovered some of her vision! She still purrs to the touch, every time, as she always has. This is a picture of how she spends most of her days and nights, on her blankie and her manta ray, right next to my head (when I'm in bed.)
