My "gurls" hated it, too but, eventually, they liked it. One of them even drools while being groomed...which is a sign that they are super-relaxed. That was last year...We're back to being grouchy about it again. If they had not "showed their hands" last year...I might have quit already!

I got my Furminator brand new on ebay for under $20, just for the record.

Apolo hates being brushed, too! But he loves being pet--you'd think it'd feel good?

My family had a shih-tzu for 15 years, Kirby, and he LOVED getting brushed. We always kept his hair really short (the "puppy cut") so he didn't have the long show-dog hair or anything but we'd say, "Kirby, brush you?" and he'd lay down for hours if we'd keep going!

Prhoshay, mine will drool all over the place when I brush him. A lot. I'm glad to know other cats do this...I just thought I had a slobber-prone cat.

Those Corgi's are adorable! I have some friends who have a Corgi. They also have two young daughters - the Corgi sits underneath the high chairs and the girls LOVE throwing food to him. Lucky (the Corgi) has gained quite a few pounds since the babies came along.

TV-Luver - I am going to try to find some pictures of the dog I had as a child. He looked exactly like yours!

Update on rescued kittens. We still have them - we've named them Marmalade and Sesame . They are lots of fun but our dogs really hate them. So, we've found a "cat rescue" organization and the nice lady there said that she was SURE that she could find a good home for them. We'll have them until next weekend and we are going to take them to the vet to get the first round of shots and then turn them over to the adoption group. I've never had cats before - but I've fallen in love with these little guys - Marmalade is very cute, and Sesame has an awesome "cattitude". It's going to be hard to give them up.

    Re: For animal lovers

Every time people start talking about Corgis my mind goes straight to the dog I would get if my lifestyle allowed me to have a dog. I'd get a Cairn Terrier. I know they don't even sound the same, but for some reason when I hear Corgi it confuses my feeble mind.

TV_luver: I wish you'd post more. I love looking at your little cutie.

Is it just me, or is tv_lover's dog grinning?

doxie, you may as well keep the kitties. You have fallen in love with them, and they with you....good grief...you've even named them. The dogs will get over their jealousy. You just need to give them some extra, extra attention!

I wish I lived close to you because I'd definitely take them! My "gurls" would have cows!!!
