| well, i saw bella's sister, and apparently her mom looked like an austrailian shepherd, as did her sister, but with a shorter coat. but bella is starting to look like a white german shepherd with lab ears. ![]() | |

| It's so hard to tell, isn't it? I can tell you that Bella and Bailey have the same nose and ears and it looks like Bella has freckles on her nose like Bailey as well. Most people correctly guess the cocker part of him, but not the American Eskimo. He does get VERY hairy, so I keep him shaved most of the time. BTW, I have every other Friday off at my job and my car is in the shop so I'm going to be a FORT slug today. Wanted to clear that up in case anyone out there thought I had nothing better to do...heh heh. |

| you are one of MANY fort slugs... me included! feel free to spend your day here! ![]() bella had a much more course coat as a pup, but she shed all that and has gotten SOOOOOOOOOO incredibly soft with pretty fine hair. her nose does have freckles, but is long and pretty thin. she's precious. ![]() | |

| My cats are camera-shy, too. The calico I'm using as an avatar is Nutmeg, the sweetest & most loyal little cat you could ever meet. She's very protective of my daughter, and when she was a baby she used to run in and shove her face at her when she cried. Great with kids - one time I had a playgroup of 9 two-year-olds in my house, and Nut just sat in the middle of them and let them pet her and tug her tail & ears. Whatta cat! Now my daughter is 3, and they follow each other around, even when we walk around the neighborhood. When we get to the edge of her territory, she stops and meows. She waits there until we walk back, so we always have to make sure we go back the way we came. My other cat is Kiwi, a loving loyal cat - but a cat for adults. She can't handle any crying or tail pulling, but she's all over you the minute my daughter is down for a nap. I can never get a picture of her...here's the best I could do:

| Tiggerstales: your cats are adorable! What a couple of sweeties! Would you mind if I used their photos for a painting? These photos are excellent. I won't without your permission.

| This was sent to me by someone from PANT. If you want someone who will do anything to please you, get a dog. If you want someone who will bring you the newspaper without tearing through it first for the sports page, get a dog. If you want someone who'll make a total fool of himself because he's glad to see you, get a dog. If you want someone who eats whatever you put in front of him and never says his mother made it better, get a dog. If you want someone who never touches the remote, couldn't care less about Monday Night Football, and watches dramatic movies with you as long as you want, get a dog. If you want someone who'll be content just to snuggle up and keep you warm in bed, and whom you can kick out of bed if he slobbers and snores, get a dog. If you want someone who never criticizes anything you do, doesn't care how good or bad you look, acts as though every word you say is worth hearing, never complains, and loves you unconditionally all the time, get a dog! On the other hand...If you want someone who never comes when you call him, totally ignores you when you walk in the room, leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you, prowls around all night and come home only to eat and sleep all day, and acts as though you are there only to see that He's happy... Get a CAT! |

| Yeah this is now my favorite thread. I have had almost 200 rescue dogs/cats in my home as foster pets (found them all homes after giving medical care, spay/neuter, etc...) and have pictures of ALL of them so let's get started... Ok Just kidding - I won't post them all. I'll just post my own babies now and maybe a few of the more memorable rescued pets later. I have tons of good stories, believe me. And I also have good advice about introducing new pets into homes and stuff like that. OK here's my first baby - Disney. She is a pure bred Chihuahua and 13 years old. She's the only pet I got from a breeder, and I'll never do that again now that I am more educated. She is the love of my life and also my alpha.
