I just got back from a Colorado vacation, and consider myself privileged to find and manage to photograph these-- these were not taken in a zoo or anything! Luck I have a looong zoom!

Thanks y'all. Dagwood, the trick is, as I said, a long lens. But beyond that, you have to move fast! I got a ton of shots of the spot where an animal used to be, or its butt going in the other direction after they noticed me!

Harmoj, that Maddie is one gorgeous calico girl!!! She looks so content and happy in every picture I've seen. What a lucky kitty.

Unk have you thought of names for the little redheads yet? I think it's wonderful that you're adopting them, partly 'cause it'll help you stay connected with the delightful Stargazer!!!

When my friends have adopted some of Gut's kittens it bonded us, kind of like family, 'cause those kittens will be around for a long, long time. I'm happy for you guys -- about the only thing as good as being bonded in friendship to Gutmutter via a kitty connection would be being bonded in friendship to Stargazer via a kitty connection.

queenb, those photos are just gorgeous!!! I'm so happy to know that you had a great time out there in the beautiful wilderness. WOW!! I hope you'll post more pictures from your cool trip.

Queenb-GREAT animal pictures. Sounds like your trip was a blast. I LOVED the bird pics. You did a great job getting those animals.

I'm sorry to say that the only animals I saw on my trip were the ones at the Gala midnight buffett that acted like this was their last meal!!!
