I just got back from the vet from a follow up. I now have the pleasure of giving Tig an IV daily to put some weight back on him. I'm not looking forward to this. I don't like needles. I'm leaving on vacation Wednesday morning and a friend of mine was going to feed him. Now I'm going to board him at the vet so they can take care of him and in case anything happens. You can see how uptight he gets at the vet. They love him up there. All the girls had to come see him.

Unk, I can tell that's a picure of Tigger, but what's all around him?

I think it's wise to board him with a vet so someone will be around to keep an eye on him.

I'm thinking the shots will hurt you more than him.

He's laying on the examination table at the vet's office. That's a poster hanging behind him advertising a flea and tick product.
Actually gabriel he's pretty laid back and relaxed there.

I just gave Tigger his first IV from me. That wasn't fun. He's rubbing up aginst me now and meowing after a brief stint under the bed. Poor fella.

Oh Unk. Tigger is just a wee little guy, isn't he. But a handsome Cat at that! He certainly looks happy there at the vets. I'm sure giving Tigger an IV is very difficult. I know even pilling a kitty can be traumatic, and I'm not talking about the cat! I'm glad he was at the vet's while you were away. He looks to be a bit happy. I can't believe how old he is. That's amazing.

Do you think he know's he's getting better? I'm sure he knows you are taking good care of him with that rubbing and meowing . They are such sensitive creatures are they not?

You are doing a fabulous job there Dr. UNK! Kitty kisses from my little furry ones to yours!

I didn't realize you had to give him an IV! I thought it was just a shot (well, not just a shot, but you know what I mean). How in the Lord's name did you manage that?

I put him in a little kitty bed that he refuses to sleep in, by the door, hung the IV up on the door, held him down, grabbed the loose skin on his back and stuck the needle in. I then had to hold him down with one hand and hold the needle in with the other. He didn't struggle too much. I had to stick him 3 times as it came out a couple of times.
He goes to the vet to stay in their kennel tomorrow. That's when I'm leaving for Tennessee. I'll pick him up Monday afternoon. He's much better, but not quite eating enough. The vet is going to be starting him on a special diet for his kidneys while I'm gone.
