I'm sorry for your loss, mesachick. God bless you for taking in rescues and giving them a good home. I hope, when you're up to it, you'll be able to bring home another horse to keep your horse company.

I've only ever had one pet at a time (dogs), so I've never experienced the mourning that multiple pets have when one of them passes. I can imagine how heartbreaking it is for them, though.

    Sending you big hugs.

Burros are great companion animals for horses. They eat less, are healthier, in general they cost less to own, and they get along great with horses.

Sorry about your loss. It's never easy.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

Thanks for all the kind words. I have thought about a donkey, and a goat. But goats don't necessarily go well with horses. I really want to try to get another rescue horse, heck might even get a donkey too!

Really well! Maybe too well lol. He's feeling better so he's being a pain in the ass about crate rest. Poor guy is bored. I ordered him some of those puzzle toys where you hide the treat and they have to figure out how to get them. I figure that will help.

He's pretty hyper normally, so being still 24/7 is a challenge for him. I feel so bad but he needs to heal. No way to make him understand that, though

We are letting him walk around and stretch for a few minutes when we take him to potty. He's using pee pads right now, so we contain him with a baby gate in the kitchen because there's nothing in there he can jump up on. He's on the mend, it's just going to be a few more weeks before he can roam freely.

I'm so happy for you and your kitties just1paul. Their markings are beautiful. Twice the love, twice the fun and....twice the mischief.
You know what that long tail means, better balance when running, jumping, leaping and climbing.
