    Re: For animal lovers

My cats have been such a source of joy lately. I have a path in the woods where I like to sit with my coffee or tea looking out over the view. They run, pounce, climb partway up trees, etc. to play and chase each other. Occasionally taking a break on my lap. I also recently installed a large screen house and they are so funny trying to figure out how that works. They think that because they can see the other cat inside it, that they can pounce from outside, but get bounced back by the screen. One has figured out the door system, but the other presses his face against the screen and walks along until he finds an entrance/exit. Once they were rolling in a body lock with each other and Dexter rolled out under the bottom flap. The look on his face to find himself outside and Minerva inside... just priceless.

I was hoping to hear more. The vet says age 15 is at the very long end, but I heard one person say hers - a 16-pounder - lived to age 20. Wondering if age 20 is really, really very unusual - or if it's a routine outlier..... like unusual but not infrequent.

Anyone else? I'd like to hear.

    Re: For animal lovers

When I googled it, several sites said 17-20 years for a healthy Yorkie, including Wikipedia.

Sad news.... the African Black Rhino is now officially extinct due to poachers. Two other types of Rhino are now feared to follow the same path. This sucks huge.
