Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' - Isaac Asimov
I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"
The average dog is a nicer person than the average person
Mike and I used to have DOUBLE bed for years until we got the Queen sized one about a year or so ago / maybe 2. We had Buddy for 6 years and YES he slept with us on the double. He weighed about 70lbs. Jaxi (55lbs) got her own bed built by Mike and I made her a crocheted pillowcover. D.Bo (90lbs) sleeps in a crate, also with his own pillowcover. When Buddy passed, we allowed Jaxi on the bed, but she rarely spends the whole night with us. She usually lasts about an hour and then jumps off to go on her own bed. This morning, she surprised me when we were lounging, sleeping off and on around 7ish. She jumped up on my side (RARE) so I snuggled with her and we went back to sleep. Mike woke up and saw us (said we were having a snoring contest) and I had her in a headlock. LOL I think if she minded then she would have wriggled away. I'd like to think she is warming up to me.

"...each affects the other, and the other affects the next, and the world is full of stories, but the stories are all one." - Mitch Albom, one helluva writer.
