Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! I LOVE THIS STORY!!!!!! It tickles my heart.... completely!!!!!!

Its the most amazing feeling when they want to snuggle!!! I especially like when Trouble was patting your face!!! She probably just wanted to show you just how close she was to you. Thats what I do to my hubby when he is snoring... I poke.. um.. pat... him a few... um... hundred times too. No matter the animal... we like it it quiet during sleepy time.

In 2011, the Institute of Medicine concluded that chimpanzees were largely unnecessary as research subjects. Since then, more than 100 federally owned chimpanzees have become eligible for retirement. In the coming years permanent homes will be needed for hundreds more destined to be released…

I'm sad. Jaxi won't cuddle with me. I miss Buddy so much and Jaxi is so much Mike's dog and not mine. D.Bo is so spazzy that he will cuddle for 30 seconds or less. LOL She will cuddle when I go up on her but if I call her to me, she wont' come. She sleeps with us for like 20 min a night but usually leaves the bed - she's not used to sleeping with us yet. That was Buddy's space. I'm just being whiney.

They (D.Bo and Jaxi) are getting along great though. We had kept D.Bo and Buddy separated when they fought for Alpha Male role and now Jaxi has definitely established the top role in the house. It was too funny. She had D.Bo down on his back and he looked over at us and we were like, do something. LOL She definitely won't let him get off the couch to see me when I come home from work either. He sits there and whines until I tell her to leave him alone. He weighs 40 lbs more than she does. LOL

What can I say PGM35? Mona weighed all of 9-10 pounds and Joey weighed 15-16 pounds and Mona was IN CHARGE!

    Re: For animal lovers

Had a bit of a 'disagreement' with Miss Celie last night. She was grooming herself, and I noticed how long and gross her rear claws looked. Yessss....it was time for a trim. I get her in my lap, not without a bit of a struggle, or the unpleasantness. My 'screamer' immediately starts screaming and writhing, but "mean mommy" will not be defeated. I have to grab her by the scruff of her neck, and look directly into her huge eyes. Calmly, I tell her that we are gong to do this MY way....not YOURS. She just looks at me; her writhing goes down many levels to where I can loosen my grip on her and am barely holding her. She stays still; I clip a few nails and the show begins again. I've got to tighten up again to keep her from running away; all the while, I hear my groomers voice saying "You cannot lose." All in all, it took about 1/2 hour, and she threw hair all over me; it was gross. We finally got the job done, but she was not happy, and I was whipped. I, gently, let her go and she left the bed, but in a rather calm (not totally) manner. Haven't seen her since. OK, Celie...I get the message...I just hope SHE does. I'm amazed at how they pout! I guess if I did it more often, it would be easier on both of us.
