Paul, I am just now reading of your dear Joey's passing. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. Little Amy will be getting extra scritches in Joey's honor. Please continue sharing your stories.......My personal favorite is the one that told of how you conducted fire drills with both Mona and Joey.

    Re: For animal lovers

I was rudely yanked out of a sound sleep this morning at 5 a.m. by a dog/cat fight that was occurring on top of me! Smokey must have gotten into the bedroom when my husband left for work and apparently he was being his usual pesky self and annoying Roxie. Roxie is a very mild, mellow dog and will put up with a lot, but I guess she'd just had enough because suddenly they were both rolling around on top of me, and Roxie was growling and snapping. I sat up, yelled something and turned the light on to find them both sitting there glaring at each other. Roxie finally did her little circle thing and laid down and Smokey stuck his tail straight up in the air, jumped off the bed and sashayed out of the room. Sheesh!
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "Happy." They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life. - John Lennon

Poor Roxie was probably dreaming and Smokey began the little brother pestering.

I know it's not funny at the time but I will tell a story about Missy the bassett and Max the cat one of these days.

Joey was anywhere between 4 months and a year.

Mona we guessed was about 4 or 5 but may have been older.

Thanks for reposting that pic, I just love it. They were both such good looking kitties and seeing them in the same pose is just so cute.

I know I already expressed my saddness at your loss, Just1Paul, but just looking at that picture fills my heart with happiness and tears. I so hate it when people lose their beloved little friends. It's so hard to go through and yet, we all keep getting new ones, even knowing what we're in for in the future.
That has to be one of the cutest pix of cats ever!!
My heart is so with you now.
