I have had a scary week with Chloe... I had to take her to the Vet this morning. The Vet is hoping her illness is due to trying to pass a hairball. She took an x-ray and everything looked normal. She gave her some shots. If Chloe isn't better tomorrow, we have to go back in for bloodwork.
Got my fingers crossed for good health for Chloe!
Unklescott: thanks so much for adorable video of your cats!

    Thanks everyone
I was awaken this morning by Chloe trying to shred the rug...what a joyful sound to my ears.
She still is moving slow but seems to be feeling better. No upset stomach, normal deposits in her litter box, and some light snacking and water drinking.
Last night and again this morning, she convinced Mr. Ing that she needed a fire in 'her' wood heater. She has been moving from lap to her chair to lap to snuggling under the woodstove to lap. I'm hopeful, she's my baby girl, you know.

My Smokey would have been an outside cat if not for his fall inside that wall. I happened to see his litter mates the other day. I don't know where they are living, probably in our barn, but they were by my house when I came home from school. What amazed me is the difference in size. Smokey is at least twice as big as his brothers and sisters! I've begun to leave food out for them hoping to tame them a bit. The mother is very wild too, won't come near us. I don't know if I will be able to tame them, but it looks like they can use the food.

Smokey is constantly trying to get out of the house. He usually just ends up in the garage, then comes in on his own. I don't know if the colder weather will change his mind about sneaking out or not. We will be getting him neutered when he is old enough, so I hope that will help too. There are too many dangers for him outside. Just last week I read in our local newspaper that someone caught sight of a cougar on a deer-cam! This was about 10 to 15 miles from our property. I've been keeping an extra eye on the dogs too. Roxie would probably run from it, but Trinity would attack, and I'd hate to see the results of that fight!
