The eyes closed part reminded of when Joey was a kitten and I tried the spray bottle approach to keep kitty out/away/off of things: first time I ever spritzed him - he ran. 2nd time- he walked about 3 steps and sat down. 3rd time- he just sat down. 4th time- he closed his eyes and waited for more. I swear if you have ever seen that picture of a cat wearing goggles, that would have been Joey. except of course his face is black and white.. PFFFT!
Too funny! D.Bo LOVES to be sprayed with water! He sticks out his tongue and laps it up.

    Inn the garden,

I'm so glad to hear your cow is doing better. The poor baby.

Have a question for all of you.

Have you ever had a canary?
A gal in my yoga class mentioned her canaries had babies, so I said I'd take one. She mentioned that 1 of her cats used to like to sit on the cage, but it in no way harmed the canary.
I told her that Monet just lays around and sleeps most of the time, so I doubt he'd do that.
I've had parakeets in the past, but never canaries. Any tips??

Inthegarden: that was a wonderful story. I can just picture the cow, and my daughter loved the story too. D.Bo is such a cutey; that's a great picture. Well, I gave my Mastiff a bath today. Luckily we have a walk in shower big enough to do it in. She always makes me laugh since she willingly walks in, but once inside, spends the whole time trying to avoid the water. I still don't know why she walks in so easily , but I'm glad she does

    Re: For animal lovers

thanks gabriel! I don't know what I did without a pet all my life. We didn't grow up with pets, and I was one of those that just didn't feel comfortable around them. Now, I can't live without him!

When I first brought Louie to the fence to get close to Rosie, he was whining and crying, tail wagging, it was adorable. I stooped down to talk to him, telling him it was Rosie, and talking like we usually talk to our pets. I noticed a tear drop fall to the grass. I looked at his face, and he was litteraly crying! Tears! Has anyone ever seen that??

GA, that is so sweet and the pictures are too funny. But the last one. He looks so sad his toy is gone.

No, I've never seen tears on a dog before. But then again, I've never heard a dog make the noises our Rosie does. Usually when she is not happy, like she is just telling us ALL about it!

Speaking of strange animal noises, Miss Sashay was in a deep sleep yesterday and started snoring. Miss Celie, like a lot of people who are not necessarily familiar with somebody's snoring, was sitting about 5 feet away from her on the bed turned her head in her direction and just stared at her. She held her gaze for several minutes, and I just cracked up! She then turned and looked at me like she just couldn't believe it! It was hilarious! Celie is not exactly the quietest sleeper, herself.

Adorable pics, GA! I hope they grow to be great friends.
