Mushy? Sorry about that. I don't think Chloe ever doubted she could rein me in.

I don't get it. I have always taken care of my cat. I've needed neither reining nor training.

What a sweet story lopevian, thank you for sharing. I think Chloe is a real beauty. I'm sure when she saw the zebra, she thought, um... so, thats where you've been. I love to play with my kitties too, their intelligence amazes me. It seems that no matter what chore that I am involved in, they always figure out a way to make a game out of it and truly enjoy themselves and make me enjoy it too.
That is until I get out the noise makers (vacuum, mower, etc.) and then they vanish.

Or so YOU think. *cough cough*. We humans are so simple minded sometimes.

    Lopevian,

Chloe sounds like the pampered cat she should be and obviously is!
You're both lucky to have each other!

lopevian, what a great story, thanks for sharing.

Just an update on my coworker and my post upthread. Holly is enjoying his visits and looks forward to D walking him. He's a big boy, she's probably 130 pounds. The other day she started rollerblading while walking him. He is having a ball with her. She on the other hand, is so torn.

There was a bag of food on the front porch where Holly spends most of his time. She had been feeding him daily from that bag, eventually she went through all the food and now the bag is empty, and no sign of any replacement food. She of course purchased food but keeps it in her car. She left the empty bag on the porch. It has been empty since Monday, today is Friday, as of this afternoon it was still sitting there, empty. The owner won't let her take Holly, doesn't want to sell him and yet, doesn't take care of him. He has a large doghouse which is on a large front porch, so there's plenty of shelter. D took him to get groomed the other day, cleaned him up and he is looking so vibrant, wide eyed and full of energy.

The homeowner doesn't live there, his house is empty, he apparently is living with a g/friend.

It boggles my mind, how can someone "have" a pet, and treat him like this? She was going to call him on the weekend, if the food has still not been replaced by Saturday.

Its a good story, and yet, still sad.
