Inthegarden - Chloe is gorgeous and I love how she's sitting there staring into the fire. (I like doing that myself )

May your beloved Duke RIP. We had a Shepherd once who looked a lot like Duke. His name was Bandit and it's been almost 20 years since he went to the Rainbow Bridge, but he still has a place in my heart.
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "Happy." They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life. - John Lennon

And Duke was so handsome. German Shepherds have such a noble and regal bearing in my opinion. If a had a Shepherd, I would try my darndest to live up to their standard.

Actually all of my pets have made me want to be a better person. I wouldn't want my dogs to have a "crappy" owner.

So Harmony just came in the back door with SOMETING in her mouth. She has been known to fit baby rabbits in there with no problem. So I escorted her back out...well SHOVED her back out because she did not want to go.

A few minutes later I heard her chuff at the back door, her mouth was empty and opened the door to let her in. She turned around quickly and snatched the object she had been carrying around and rushed past me. I saw what she had...an old limp rawhide. (huge sigh of relief here)
I very much believe in rescuing animals, not buying them.

Aww. Duke was handsome. He must have been an awesome guy.

    Unk - that is hilarious!

Henry is all outraged. It is raining AGAIN and "his" electric blanket doesn't seem to be working well.

Wednesday, October 7th would have been the late great Simon's 16th birthday. We will be having his favorite Arbys for dinner that night.

Cecilie is finally out of her quarantine, and getting stronger every day. She is still on antibiotics for a couple more weeks as she has a slightly elevated temperature that the vet would like to see come down.

She and Koji have a had a few spats, mostly because he thinks she is a toy to play with. He is about twice her size, so I think it scares her a bit when he tries to pounce on her, but she is starting to stand up for herself and hiss at him when he gets too rough.

I attached a picture taken yesterday, when they were napping, not quite together, but at least on the same bed .
