I'm so sorry for your loss Mimzy.

Mimzy - such sad news. we recently went through the loss of a pet and I know how heartbroken you must be. Thinking of you and your family.

Fierce - Oakley is beautiful and all of those dogs look like they are having a blast! I wish Henry liked to get in the water like that.

    Re: For animal lovers

Well I am coming in here looking for some expert advice.

I am house sitting for a friend while they are on a cruise. One of the dogs had some issues with her tail and has a cone on her head and something that is covering her tail. Sadly she has gotten the cone off 3 times in the last 12 mins and has found out how to eat her tail even with the cone on. Any advice of what I can do?

If the owners left you their vets phone number, I would give them a call and see what they recommend. I have seen sprays for those issues, but until I talked to the vet, I would be afraid to do too much.
If you could think of ways to distract the dog that might help, but the poor little fellow is probably stressed out with its owners gone and that might be making the tail biting worse.

    Re: For animal lovers

They left the vets number and I will eventually try that when I get the okay later on today

. My friend told me to take her to the vet if she eats/licks through the protection on the tail. The problem is, at this rate, I would be doing that multiple times a day and I am sure my friend can't afford that.

Right now I am watching her like a hawk and will see what he and his friends say later on today. I really appreciate your advice.

Not sure what's covering the tail, but when my dog had gauze/bandages covering her stitches and got through that, we covered it with duct tape...
