For animal lovers

Oh pleezze....what guy likes to get his hair cut short if he's gotten attached to the long hair?? He sounds like 'middle schooler' to me! :lol He's precious, mrd! I even called him "my poor boo-boo" (this non-dog person) when I saw that sad look. Just keep telling him that he is a handsome hunk of doghood and giving him treats. Just stress to him that he is still a "HUNK"! Sometimes, it takes a little bit of time for guys to come around! :lol

misskitty, my gurls have all become seriously happy about our medium comb! I am one happy mommy! My Gail was a charcoal long-haired baby that looked exactly like Mr. Tootles, but much smaller. She was only about 7-8 pounds. I miss her sooo much....with her bad attitude self.

I really would love to have a BIG, healthy cat. All of my babies, now, are about 12 pounds.

Poor Waldo! I bet he actually feels better, but he looks so depressed with his floppy jaws in the first shot! :lol I doubt he's having any bad memories, he's probably just tired. He had quite the big adventure yesterday, and now has to adjust to going nekkid in public ;) I will agiain suggest Ham Therapy to cheer him up. I wish I was there to rub his ears--they look like they feel really good.

He really doesn't like being nekkid. poor thing. He does have a sad face and hasn't acted happy in days. Even running around in the yard.

He also won't quit scratching. He's been treated for fleas, he has no fleas as I've gone though his coat looking. he is still scratching something awful. I gave him benedryl and that worked until it wore off. So unfortunately, he's going back to the vet next week. He's got "hot" spots where he's been scratching. So now I'm thinking he may be allergic to something. But at least we can see them now. I don't know if they were there before because of all that hair. And he won't let you roll him over to inspect him.

Sometimes it's the food, MRD. We had to change one of my dog's diet and the rash went away.

Or it could be the stress of moving. I remember how my Katie was when my youngest left to join the service. she scratched and nibbled on herself. The vet put her on valium, and she eventually stopped. Waldo looks like a precious, manly puppydog. Trust Gabriel to bring up a sore subject (pun intended)!

Even if it's the same food he's been eating for almost 2 years?

We once had a dog with a flea allergy and I wondered if that was it, even though he's been treated this week. Maybe it takes a few days for the rash to go away after the fleas are gone?

I'm still going to call the vet on Mon. He doesn't seem to be real bothered. I think I'm more bothered by it. He's eating, drinking, going to the potty like normal, so I don't think it's an urgent thing and can wait until Mon.

Yeah, even if it's the same food. Sometimes the allergy just develops. Hard to say though, I'm sure the vet will have some ideas. Since Waldo is a "high energy" dog it could be stress like fam said.

Well Rosie has finally forgiven us for moving. She spent the first week on m y daughter's level of the house and wouldn't come upstairs. But now that it's gotten cold, she has managed to come up the stairs to sleep in the nice warm bed with the heated mattress pad and warm humans.

And Waldo has taken over her spot on the sofa. He never used to get up there much as Rosie was always on it and would growl at him. But now that she's been in a snit and remained on the ground floor, Waldo is King of the 3rd floor. :)

Yes Rosie- you show them humans who is REALLY in charge.
