It's there for me Gut. :shrug
When all else fails reboot? That's my mantra!
Unk found it for me somewhere else. My school computer was blocking that site and the computer techie couldn't figure out why. Thanks Unk!
doxie; I'm sorry your pups have upset tummys. Bad gummy worms. Can you imagine the look on your vets face if you took them in and said they need medication for worms? :ohno
myrosiedog: You must be so excited to be in your new house. It sounds huge! Post a pic when you can. I'm sorry to hear that Waldo's is sick too. Poor guy. Change is really hard on him. Glad to hear that Rosie and Bogie are really taking to it. All those stairs will be good for keeping everyone's heart healthy!
Unk: That was a great link. Thanks!
Someone sent me this an email today, it really made me laugh
Subject: TAPE THIS LOW ON THE REFRIGERATOR DOOR-Joke
Make sure your pets read this:
Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The
otherdishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw
print in themiddle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming
your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the
slightest.
The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack.
Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't
help because I fall faster than you can run.
I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very
sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the
couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in
a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular
to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also
know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out
the other end to maximize space is nothing but
sarcasm!
For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If
by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it
is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get
your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit
through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the
bathroom for years -- canine or feline attendance is not required.
The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's
butt. Rather than the other way around. I cannot stress this enough!
To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on
our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the
furniture. (That's why they call it 'fur'niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted
son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't
speak clearly.
Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because
they:
1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3. Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a 'gazillion' dollars for college.
And finally,
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.
I LOVE that!! :rofl
I may actually print out the last part and post it on my door. Reminds me of my MIL. Not that she comes to my house any more, but when she did she was constantly b*tching about our dogs. "How can you stand having them in the house?" I love my dogs... it's her I can't stand having in my house. :mmm I never understood how someone could not like dogs, or any kind of animal in her case. Seems like a personality defect to me.
I agree, Lil Bit. I can understand that you could be afraid of dogs or cats if you had a bad experience with them. But not like them? They're so darn cute!
queenb, I'm so sorry...somehow I must have missed your previous post about Rocky passing away....my thoughts are with you :grouphugQuote:

We put Waldo in the back of hubby's truck with the topper on. I drove behind with Rosie and Bogie. He looked ok from my vantage point, but apparantly not as he got REALLY sick. We got him out of the truck and he was on the leash when one of the neighbors came over to meet him. He growled at the neighbor and we warned him to let Waldo have some time as he had just had a traumatic car ride, but the neighbor didn't listen and Waldo tagged him and drew blood. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. He's never done that before, but I could tell he was upset and the neighbor didn't listen.
Anyway, they all went in, explored the new house, the little dogs ran up and down the stairs about a million times. Waldo goes up them better now, but was slow at first. He sounds like an elephant when he comes down the stairs.
Rosie is now tired of the stairs and stands at the bottom and stares up at us like she wants to be picked up and carried. Funny, but she manages the stairs to the ground floor fine, but they are carpeted, the stairs to the 3rd floor are not. Anyway, she's also in a tiff because the house is still a chaotic nightmare and the groundfloor which is my daughter's area is mostly put together, so she is spending all her time down there now. And shes messed in the house twice and she hasn't done that in years and years, so we are guessing, she's pissed at us and showing it.
Bogie is fine and he and Waldo really love the big backyard.
Waldo doesn't like the outdoor steps and is very clumsy coming up them.
So Bogie is the least affected by it all. Waldo has adapted, Rosie's nose is out of joint.
As for the humans, we are SICK AND TIRED of moving, packing, unpacking, cleaning and not being able to find ANYTHING.
But we've met all of our new neighbors. This is the friendliest neighborhood I've ever lived in.
Now if AT&T can get us the correct modem and Directtv can get their heads out of their butts, we may have internet and tv hopefully soon.
