queenb - so sorry about Rocky. I got home to a phone message about a kitten we had placed. The woman used to work in our school system and is a huge complainer, so I was worried to hear her voice, but she was calling to thank me and tell me all the wonderful details of the kitten in their home including the fact that her husband sleeps with him every night - the husband she didn't tell she was getting a kitten because she was afraid he would freak out. All's well that ends well.

Oh that was tearful, but happy tears.

I liked how the black dog greeted him and then stood back and barked at him for a bit. Almost like: "Gosh, I'm SO glad you're home, but where the HELL have you BEEN all this time?" And then was back getting attention. Like he had to have 20 seconds to complain and then went back to being happy again.

Wow! That's incredible. The computer teacher at school hooked me up so I can play whatever's on my computer on the huge tv in the room (so I could show my classes youtube's "where the hell is Matt?"). I'm going to play that for them on Tuesday. Of course I'll cry each time and they'll make fun of me, but I don't care. That's really something.

No, b ut he had a rebel flag.

The neighborhood he was found in, has a big minority population. he was thin, abandoned and apparantly abused. He's overcome a lot, but he doesn't react well when we've had people over that are of different races. So we think that he was possibly abused by someone of another race.

He is doing great and is such a sweetheart! He is eating me out of house and home, and apparently is loving every minute of it. He has become best buddies with Bubbles (my 2lb. Pom) and Dallas (my Standard Poodle). My older Pom, Misty, tolerates him but just barely. But all in all, he's fitting in really well.

He is still awful stinky though!

What a fabulous ending! I love that you snagged him. Good for you.

Nutro dry food, lamb and rice, and lots of exercise should take care of the odors. You can get that at any Petsmart, Petco, etc. Exercise is key to good digestion, I bet he has had very little.

Activated charcoal was an excellent suggestion.
