I will become a clicking madwoman now that I know all of that.

I checked out the magellan site and found some really nice items that will make great inexpensive Christmas gifts. I love it.

Well thank you, ladies! I really wasn't fishing for clicks...I just try to select ads I think people will be interested in. But I appreciate your clicking!

John, do you get money each time we click on the tag lines at the bottom of your post?

Feif, no I don't. Only if you go to the Amazon site through one of my links, and then sometime within the next 28 days, buy something (anything) from Amazon.

So, if you're an Amazon junkie like some of us are, click there!

Mommad, I use Ad-Aware. It gets rid of my spyware. I run it about once a week.

I also use AVG's free virus scanning software.

I'm with you John....I don't mind one simple pop up per site.

It's the ones that never stop and I can't even find my original place I was going that piss me off.

love ad aware. great little program.

and BF, those are the sites i loathe. the ones that have so many pop ups that i often unintentionally close the window for which i was searching. i surf online pretty much every weekday from 9am to 5:30pm. the pop ups are enough to drive me insane. and now they've got those new damn adverts that run across the page over what you are trying to read!! and the "close" buttons are often hard to locate. GRRRRR

I use the popup stopper from panicware .com.Its a free download and you can still open more than 1 window by using the crtl button.
