And I'm pretty excited too. In two weeks we'll be spending 8 days in Maui! It'll be my 9th visit there, so I know the place well and all the things to do while we are there. It will be the tenth anniversary for DH and me. We were married there on Makena Beach near Wailea ten years ago. There is also a family wedding while we are there with my niece's daughter getting married, so there will be about 20 family members and friends vacationing there with us. We haven't been back there in 5 years, so I'm super excited.
Oh lucky Punkin! I adore Maui, its my paradise. If we won the lotto we would move there. Beautiful place. Friends of our just came back from 10 days, and they have some coffee for me.
Ms Diva, the beaches are fabulous in Barbados, and there are so many tours, we took two and one day was a snorkeling day. If you google things to see and do, it would take a long time to see them all. Enjoy! both of you

Believe it or not, I am looking at going back to Jamaica in January, we need to book now, because the places fill up so quickly. We haven't had summer yet

Greetings from our trip to visit 5 baseball parks in 12 days!

We went to the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati today. Of the 21 parks we've visited so far, GAB is definitely in my top 5. Beautiful views of the Ohio River from the upper decks, a nice breeze coming over the river, and lots of open space for the vendors and food places inside the park. Open air, so there was no protection from the sun, and I got seriously overheated about the 4th inning and had to make my way up to a shaded area in the concourse. (I don't EVER want to get that close to passing out and/or throwing up in front of strangers again.)

One cool thing that we haven't been offered anywhere else . . . if you go to the Fan Assistance booth, they print out a really nice certificate on card stock, commemorating your first visit to the park. It will hang in a place of honor at our house, right next to the Pete Rose autographed jersey (which he signed right in front of us, so we know it's legit).

Heading off to Milwaukee tomorrow. We just missed the tornadoes that hit east of Kansas City yesterday. Yikes!

You lucky! Thanks for letting the rest of us live a vicarious life of adventure and travel through your posts! Your husband decides on a "bucket list" and he really goes for it! You seem to get a lot of benefits from it though, so I'm thinking of following your lead and planting a "bucket list" into my own DH's head. Something less ambitious, say, like the Missions of California! There's only 21 of them, but it would be a start! With Hearst Castle thrown in as a bonus! I'll get started on this right away!

Just missed tornadoes! AZ, you know we don't do tornadoes! Get outta' there quick!

It's kind of a mutual bucket list. We go to the ballparks for him, and I take the lead on the other stuff we do in each city. I'm thinking the Pabst mansion in Milwaukee looks interesting. And - what a coincidence ;-) - our hotel in Minneapolis is right across the street from Mall of America.

I haven't been to that island, but I've been all around it (just got back from Aruba and Curacao) and the beaches are just gorgeous down there. We snorkeled a lot and just enjoyed the beautiful water. I hope you have a blast!

There's surprisingly a lot to do in M'waukee. The Pabst Mansion is a favorite of mine, as is the Pabst Theater. The Riverwalk downtown is nice, as is the Iroquois boat tour.

What a fun trip! Have you been to Camden Yards yet? That's my favorite ballpark ever. Out here, I love AT&T Park in SF. Best food of any ballpark ever.

I think the day after We get there we are doing a Safari jeep and Catamaran tour. there are 7 of us so we will be having a great time. I am trying to get my clothes together now for what I am going to to take with me! from San Diego to Barbados is a 12 hour flight with layovers but its worth it! I need to get used to it since I am going to Dubai next year and that I hear is an even longer flight!
