Is he "typical" in the way of sports-lovin', beer-drinkin', tool-usin'? Or more metro? Or somewhere in-between?
FC, he's a teenager...no beer drinking! :nono If your budget is limited, I've never seen a guy who didn't like a home baked pie, cookies, or cake, and maybe a dinner too. It doesn't have to be fancy.

If he has a car, maybe a classy monogrammed (his initials) keyring. With homemade cookies or fudge. And a fun, not overly mushy card.
