Bing Crosby used to do Minute Maid commercials; he would be wearing ugly plaid golf pants and was usually surrounded by family. I think this was in the '70s.

Merry Christmas to all my FORT friends!

Thanks for being here when I needed a shoulder to cry on or just a place to go when I'm bored. This really is a great place. Special thanks to John and all the Mods and others who keep this place running smoothly. You guys do a wonderful job.

Merry Christmas to you all...also want to add my thanks to all in the FoRT community for being there with advice, with love, with humor and with prayers. You are all very, very special people and I do appreciate you.

May your holidays be lovely and peaceful and may all your dreams come true. Take care of each other. Best wishes for a warm and loving holiday and may we all continue to "be there" for all who need and love us. Merry Christmas!

Bing crosby was one of the original MAJOR investors in minute maid, hence the commecials.

As for the trip to Maui - sure you win. (But don't hold your breath waiting for the tickets. hee hee)

Missyboxers, I'm 46 and I still love tracking Santa on NORAD. It's not just for kids.

Ok, can you tell it's been YEARS since I saw White Christmas??? And I forgot about Bing and the Minute Maid commercials. All I could think about was when Anita Bryant was the spokeswoman for Florida Orange Juice.

Well I think we're going for a record of weeks without sunshine here. but it did warm up to the mid 40's. So while it's gloomy, it's still CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!

For all those with loved ones traveling, wishing them safe travels.

I heard my favorite Christmas song on the radio this morning on the way back from the grocery store: Robert Earl Keen's Merry Christmas from the Family. It really does describe the past Christmases my immediate and extended family would share.

So to all of you "Merry Christmas from the Family...........Feliz Navidad".

So glad I'm not the only one! I turned on my laptop before I came into work this morning specifically to check the NORAD website. At 6:15 with a train to catch!

Merry Christmas all you wonderful FORTers!
I hope you are all happy, safe and warm on this Christmas Eve.
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.
