How could you be scared of this menagerie?

I have to agree with this. I never did like clowns, then I read Stephen King's book "It", and now they really freak me out.

Clowns are definitely freaky. Poltergeist did it for me, "It" just pushed it that much further.

I love that third pic, greenappleage, Santa looks just as scared.

Gabriel, that Santa was rather scary....those eyebrows.

My son was never afraid of Santa ... but when he was about 4 or 5 and we saw the He-Man crew at Universal Studios - he got quite a shock when he unexpectedly came face to face with Skeletor!

Clowns should be banned from the face of the earth.

Dags, I thought that Santa was a little creepy, too. Great pic, Gabriel!

I agree about the clown thing. Never trust a clown!

Yesterday, I was at the mall and noticed that Santa had a bench to sit on instead of a big throne. I was wondering if maybe kids aren't allowed to sit on Santa's lap anymore at the mall. Has anyone encountered this with their kids? Mine are too old to visit Santa.

Nah, I just got pictures last weekend with my youngest right on Santa's lap. He even tilted his head so they were really close, it kind of looks like they're cuddling. He's a great looking Santa and was really funny, and it wasn't creepy at all. She had a blast with him. When he asked what she wanted for Christmas she said, "A Pig!" and wouldn't budge even though he kept pestering her for different wants. We had no idea. So I ordered a big stuffed pig from Amazon yesterday
One of these days I'll stop being sensitive. Until then, I'll continue to be devastated on a daily basis. Life breaks my heart.

    This thread is funny.

Gabriel, I love that pic! I think it is hilarious that your brother is looking straight at the camera even though he is just barely suppressing a major meltdown.

    Re: Scared of Santa

My Dad was the resident "Santa" at a place in my hometown called Christmas Village. It was a series of buildings, including an elves workshop, Santa's room and an outdoor area to feed the reindeer. It is open from from Dec 1 - 24 and minimum wait time, in the brutal cold, to get in is usually an hour with the line hundreds deep. Anyway, my Dad was Santa for about 5 years and he absolutely loved it, his only complaint being that he had to change his Santa pants a few times a day because little ones were so overcome that they peed on him.

Hey, Bunny - are you by any chance in Southern California? I know we have a Santa's Village around here ...
