    Father's Day

Hey, father's day is coming, what will you do for your father? I have read an interesting article about Father's Day, including it's history and things you can do for your father at that day.

Probably a gift card - he likes Sam's Wholesale Club so that's probably what I'll get the gift card for. He's not really picky but likes to buy things!

    Re: Father's Day

Sadly, I have not had a dad to buy for in almost 10 years.

But hubby will get breakfast, lunch and dinner and his choice of what to do which probably means sleeping late, then watching tv all day.

My daughter bought him a t-shirt at the Scottish games that says:
    Scotch
    Making men dance since 1494

He has a lot of funny t-shirts. So in our house, it's not another tie, it's another t-shirt.

No daddy here to buy for but my son wants to buy his daddy a spice rack so we'll be heading to Linens & Things to pick up one of the nice ones!

I've never had a father to buy for so this holiday is normally just another day for me.

My dad died when I was 2½ so I buy my mom something - she loves the sentiment.

We got some CD's & a new PSP game for my hubby from my girls.

    Re: Father's Day

My dad, not one for subtlety, forwarded my mom, sister and I a coupon to a local golf store. Which, from the standpoint of knowing what he wants, is great, but for one problem. He failed to tell us what specific type of golf balls he wants (I play a little, but certainly not enough to know ball x from ball y), and also, which golf bag he wants.

However, at least he's given us some good ideas, which is especially important since his birthday is 10 days after Father's Day.

Could you buy him the golf balls you THINK he would use and then he could carry them back if they weren't right?
