Father's Day

I don't mind mine napping, but he hasn't done anything for the last several days either. It's like it's Father's Day week around here. I will give him today, but tomorrow is a NEW day around here. For daughter too. There is going to be a new sherriff in town starting tomorrow!!!

Attitudes had better change around here or we're having something really yucky for dinner tonight.

My husband too is napping right now. However, I don't mind because I know he does so much for me every other day of the year.
I want to be wined and dined on my day, he wants to nap. Men have simple tastes.

My hubby travels so much, he was actually happy to get out and organize the garage. I don't even try to help since he likes to organize his own tools. The kids were out helping sweep etc., and I did some stuff in the yard so we had a fun/productive day. We are newly moved in so in a few years I expect he'll golf on Father's Day. I have salmon on the BBQ and "crash potatoes" in the oven, with a salad and some steamed french beans. And maybe a glass of nice Chilean wine that found it's way here on the boat

I fixed broccali for dinner. Even better.

Well, I went in the bedroom and I started taking the sheets off the bed while he was in it, so he got up and moved to the recliner.

Hope everyone had a good Father's Day!

Ours got off to an... interesting start-- my sister was due in around 10 pm on Saturday evening, and we got to the airport a little early, as the website said her plane was supposed to come in around 9:45. WELL! Scattered storms brought torrents of rain to the area. Parts of the highways that lead to the airport flooded out-- we ended up guessing on several shortcuts, which fortunately were successful. We get to the terminal, and my sister's plane has landed... in Boston. We left the airport at 2:45. We got home at 4 am.

The party went off without a hitch, though.
