    my first major news story i remember is Reagan being shot. i don't remember how old i was. anyone know the year off hand? i must have been pretty young though. i know i wrote him a get well letter in green crayon.

    1969 - astronauts first landing on the moon. I remember watching our old black and white t.v. and my mom and dad being so excited and talking about it.
    I enjoy the escapism of reality television. Beats the heck out of worrying about your REAL life!!

    JFK. I also remember doing a cheer on the K-2 playground, "Hot water, cold water... vote for Goldwater!" (I even remember the hand motions and jump that went with it)
