I think it was a few years back, before the energy crisis. They moved it earlier so people would not use as much energy by turning on lights, etc.

Yup, with donuts!!
I meant do any of you remember around which month and time period (second week of April? third week of April?) we would change our clocks? This year it was last weekend... But a few years ago, was it in April? THANKS!Originally Posted by buglover;2845309;
ETA: I found it! It used to be the first Sunday in April:
"From 1986 to 2006 this was the first Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, but starting in 2007, it is observed from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, adding about a month to daylight saving time."

Second weekend in April is what I got from reading the history of it.

I wish it would just stay one way or the other.

Ya, me too. Come that first Sunday in November I'd like to change the clocks back just a half hour...as a compromise...and then leave it be....for good. Seems I have 50 clocks and watches that need adjusting twice a year. Well...maybe not 50, but so many that I made a list to make sure I get them all. It is a pain.Originally Posted by gabriel;2845424;
I really dislike the fall changing back to Pacific time. It's such a unnatural drastic change.

That doesn't work for me :nono If we stay on Standard Time, I'd have 5 AM sunrises in the summer; winter would bring 9 AM sunrise if we were to stay on Daylight Saving year-round.Originally Posted by gabriel;2845424;

I like that half hour back idea and then leave it.Originally Posted by Tribal Speak;2845543;

Currently I'm in AZ and there is no DST here. I'm going to be all screwed up when I get home tomorrow with the 3 hour time difference and then DST to adjust to.![]()
