When my teenagers tell me - "Mom, you're right"
When my teenagers tell me - "Mom, you're right"
Go Tigers!
I didn't know teenagers were able to put those two words together. I thought there was some kind of a genetic thing that prevented it. Wow - go figure!

I also agree with whoever said that coming to the FORT to catch up is a good part of the day. I agree. It's my morning ritual after my morning cup of coffee on the patio.

I watched an amazing movie today on LMN, "To Have and To Hold." I seriously love Lifetime movies. I don't care who mocks me it has the best drama and thriller movies.![]()
The best part of my day has yet to happen. I'm ready for bed. It's only 7 pm, but I could go right now. I'm holding out as I know I will be up wide awake at 3 if I go now. But I know that the best part of my day is going to be in a couple hours when I can lay down and read for a little while in my comfy warm bed.

Hi! I don't usually post anywhere but the reality thread, and then I thought, FORT has so many great threads, I should check them outSo...I have to say, I agree with you all that said your warm comfy bed was a favorite part of the day...especially since as the weather gets cooler, the bed gets comfier...yummy!! But the best part of my day is whenever my 13 year old actually decides to talk to me about "important stuff", like his new girlfriend. At his age, it's really nice when not only do I get more than a mono-syllabic response to my questions and comments, but when he's the one to start a conversation and...wait for it...actually ask for advice and open up about what's going on in his life

I hear ya, Katydyd. My kids are 21, 19, and 16. I take what crumbs I can get. The best part of today so far (it's only 7:48 a.m.) was getting up to a cold house, putting on a hoodie with the hood up, relishing my HOT cup of coffee, looking out the window at the neighbor's maple which is almost entirely orange, and having our kitten figure out that sitting on my lap, purring is the warmest place for her. It's the little things, I tell ya.
Count your blessings!
Finishing the laundry and watching Joey snoozing in the pile of warm socks and underwear piled on the couch.....

Petula Clark: You know they say you can't buy happiness.
Dean Martin: No but you can pour it..
Getting up this morning and it being in the high 50's and I had to put on a light sweater to have my coffee outside. But it was the most gorgeous morning. Perfect start to the day today. And I have the windows open. LOVE when I can do that.
