Re: Workout Videos that Work

I saw a used Billy Blanks Tae Bo for $9.99 and new Walk Away dvd at Canadian Tire for $19.99. I didn't buy anything yet. Had to mow the lawn.

Re: Workout Videos that Work

I've had great luck (and stick-to-itiveness) with Leslie Samsone's "Walk Away the Pounds" series. I have the ones that came with a resistance belt and have the 1, 2, and 3-mile options. (15, 30, and 45 min.).

Re: Workout Videos that Work

Thanks Gut. I'm looking for a place that might sell a lot of used workout videos as I expect people use them for awhile and then go onto something else.

Meanwhile, I'm getting lots of exercise going up and down ladders to plaster and sand, and lifting and moving furniture out of the way. Oh, and sweeping a lot.

Re: Workout Videos that Work

Someone inquired about what my friend used to lose 70 pounds. I got a sort of answer and thought I'd post it here as well, in case it's useful to anyone else:

As for the Tae Bo video, when I started using them there was just a plain Tae Bo that was, what is now, a Level 1 or Beginners. Then I got into the "Tae Bo Live" and used the beginners and advanced dvds of that. I do really like it. The only complaints I have about it, and it's strictly hindsight, is that if I would've done a bit of real good stretching, preferably yoga-type, I would've found much more benefit. I know they have even newer ones now but I've not checked them out. I will say that Tae Bo was one of the best things I've ever done and something that I think folks can do for a lifetime, incorporating it into any routine.
