Actually, I have received a white-tie invitation. Being a blue jeans and flannel kind of guy, I declined.
Oh and I refuse to wear a tucked in shirt anymore.
I don't even walk to the mailbox with my shirt untucked.

But where do you buy enough white ties to cover your whole body?

As a surveyor, I have enough white flagging to deck out most of FORT with white ties. (Personally, though, I think the white-tie-and-Speedos look is too Chippendales.)

OMG, I was thinking about how the green speedos and how they'd look against all that white!

I'm quite sure that this won't mean anything to you, but I have always preferred the look of an untucked shirt to a tucked one. People who look comfortable just plain look good.

I agree with Newf, the white tie and speedos is pretty Chippendales.

    Re: Etiquette Questions

I very much dislike men having their shirts tucked in. I don't know why, I just feel it's very stuffy.

Gabriel, I don't tuck shirts in either

Everyone hates me and my tucked-in shirt. I'm going to eat worms.

I prefer the neater look of the tucked shirt, but seeing untucked tails doesn't bother me in informal settings.
