I am. I live in the west burbs of Detroit.

I have a dirty little secret. Even though I am a Buckeye for life, I had to overcome the stigma of being born in Grand Rapids, and then living for another eight or ten years near Lansing. It wasn't until 5th grade that we moved to Columbus. Mom always said* that her two greatest regrets in life were that she couldn't make it to Ohio in time for my birth, and that I wasn't twins. Because of this shameful past, I usually tell people that I am an Ohio State Buckeye for Life, since I DID earn my degree from OSU back in the dark ages ('81)

I'm going back in June. Plan to go while the lilacs are blooming.

U of M lost interest with me when they found out that my IQ is (barely) in triple digits--the faculty didn't want to be upstaged by a freshman.

By the way, I just checked--I'm not a "she."

I was born in the great state of Michigan, but sadly moved just over the border into Ohio when I was in 5th grade. Hmmmmm, same time as Newf, only I graduated from college in '82.

So I am a Wolverine living in Enemy Territory.
