    Cornedbeef... thanks for remembering me!

Yeppers.... I'm from Michigan!!! Northern Detroit suburbs and work in downtown Detroit. So I've been trained to be able to kick Newf's butt. And I have double incentive, since he also reminded me that he's a Buckeye fan. Grrrrr...

    Where are you from, rainshower?

Figures y'all would have to take a break in the middle of spelling OHIO. Need a breather, or taking a peek at the flash cards?

And apparently you've recently had to replace your stadium turf because your cheerleaders were grazing too much, eh??

No, but relatives used to live there and would bring us back the most delicious Michigan apples when they'd come to visit! I think they're even better than Washington apples!

Anyone know where Oscoda is? One stop light and the Dairy Queen closed in the winter. Department store was the Sears catelogue store - I kid you not. 1971-73. We lived there for two years. My daughter was born there and we LOVED it (for a short stay). Guys rode snowmobiles to work when the snowdrifts covered the garages and the lake froze.

Next I am going to tell you about walking to school three miles in the snow both ways up hill Well the stuff above was true anyway !

jelle.... I don't think much has changed in Oscoda. It might now be a Walmart instead of a Sears, however.

I'm from Michigan. I was born in Lansing and live by Grand Rapids now.
I have a good friend from Oscoda. Like Broadway said, not much has changed.

Where in the UP are you going?

I'm from the big old town of L'Anse.

When I grew up there, the nearest traffic light was 70 miles away. But things have improved, the nearest traffic light is now 35 miles away.

I am from Michigan. I work in Southfield, live in Clio.
Love the U.P. and the Lilac festival on Mackinac Island in June. My husband's family lives in Birch Run, and I remember when there was a beautiful park where the now "famous" Outlet Mall is.
    I love Michigan.
    Ohio -notsomuch.
But I do luv Unk - and don't hold the fact that he is in Ohio against him. We all have our crosses to bear.
