Wait until a 35 year old is shaking his head, having never heard of something that was a big deal when you were a kid! Somehow it's much cuter when little kids can't beleive you were alive in 1980, or think you are pulling their legs about 3 channel black and white TV (one per family, must be Zenith) and dial telephones complete with cords.

I took my four year old with me the other day to pay the water bill. She asked me what we were doing, and I said we had to pay for the water we use in our house. She looked at the lady and said she was willing to stop drinking water, and only have juice so we could have a discount. She was so serious, it made me laugh.

Had family in town for a visit and decided to go to the zoo, even though we knew full well that it would be crawling with little kids on their end-of-the-year field trips. So glad we went because the exchange we witnessed was priceless.

Group of kids walking (probably about 6 or 7 year olds). One little boy is talking to another little boy, who is walking right in front of him.

"Josh" he says and gets no response. "Josh" he says again, a little louder. Still nothing. Finally, with hands on his hips, he says "Joshua! Do you even listen to me when I'm talking to you?".

LOL! He was channeling his mother, I am sure of it!!!

This is hilarious!! The mother could be talking to, either, her son or his dad!!! It's always a hoot when they parrot something that they've heard you say, and even at an appropriate moment!!!

My son has zinged me with them, as a little bitty kid!!

A cute thing my 6 year old grandson said a few months ago:

I'd made pancakes for supper. We have trouble getting him to eat but he ate almost all his pancake and I was patting myself on the back and crediting my somewhat famous recipe when he said "It tasted like soap but I ate it anyway because I know it's supposed to taste that way. You're the best cook in the WHOLE WORLD!".
