Re: Cutest things you've heard your kids say

I'm hoping this isn't one of those "you had to be there" moments....

This morning I was sitting on the floor, feeding the baby in her car seat carrier. My two 3 yr old boys were watching a robin family out of the window collecting worms. They ran to the playroom to get the 'noculars (binioulcars) to see better. They sneeked back around the corner whispering and I said "hey boys, what are you doing??"
They ran away screaming 'ahhhh!! a talking antelope!!' then fell to the floor in peels of laughter.
It was hard not to laugh along.

    Duxx!!

My girlfriend just told me this story and I had to laugh. Her son is almost finished with kindergarten. His sister (2nd grade) told him he might have to stay in kindergarten again because she knew someone who had straight A's still have to repeat kindy (who knows why she knew or thought this). Anyway, her son then says "what if I get curvy A's?"

    Kids....they take things *so* literal!!!

Marybeth, that is the cutest darn thing I've heard in a long time, and I hope she writes it down somewhere for safe keeping.

This isn't my kid, but it is my niece. You will need to go to the entry posted Friday, May 18, 2007. I have to press play twice:

I was telling my baby sister (who was about 5 or 6 at the time) if she was going to see 101 Dalmations when the movie came out...she looked at me with shock then sadness and said "I haven't even seen the first one yet" It took me a minute then I busted out laughing, poor baby thought she had to see 100 sequels before seeing this one.

Conversation between my cousin and her 3 year old at the table after dinner. We were having tea and he wanted some:

Mom: No, this is grown-up tea. What do I make for you at home?
Him: Boy tea. [i.e. herbal tea]
Mom: And what does grown-up tea have in it that boy tea doesn't?
    Him: Caffeine.
Mom: And what does caffeine do to you?
    Him: It makes me crazy.

I don't come in here much, but save up for when I need a chuckle--it's always too funny!
Thanks to all the parents, aunts uncles, and kids that keep us smiling.
