I'd hate to have to order them online, but I guess I will if that's the best I can do. I want, so badly, to buy them locally, that I don't know what to do! Wal*mart, Target, Meijer....haven't searched any dance shops yet, but I guess that also might be an option. Thanks, chrelsey! I'm off to google.

High heels with little girl socks! Guilty! I thought the "legs" music video by ZZ Top was so fashion forward.

I'm a bit late for this conversation, but I always called those things "hair claws".

    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

I'm a teacher's aid for summer school this year, and man. Middle schoolers are so amusing. I had to explain to a kid that it was illegal for him to bring fire works and a bb gun to school to sell. I then had to explain to him that no matter how good of a driver you are at 15, you cannot get your license until you're 16. The summer school is held in the high school I went to, and the same kid asked me yesterday a question. We're in a science room, and he saw a picture of an earthquake on the wall. He then asked,"Were you born yet for the big earthquake we had here a few years ago?" The earthquake was ion 2001. I said, "Uh yeah. I was in this school, actually."

I'll admit to the leg warmers. I had a black sweater with pink/purple/turquoise polka dots on it and MATCHING leg warmers. Yes, I wore that in 1984 in Alabama (which is almost as crazy as wearing leg warmers in Florida as MRD pointed out). I attempted "big hair" for about two months and then I realized that my hair is straight and fine and NO amount of spraying it would ever make it big. I gave up. I was pretty much the only one in high school with a short, straight bob and I'm probably the only one who isn't embarrassed about her hair in the yearbook pictures (although I would be horrified if any pictures of me in that sweater/leg warmer ensemble turned up!).

I still own 2 pairs of leg warmers, but I wear them when I shovel snow to keep snow out of my boots.

I have one pair too, I wear them when I work out if shorts are too cold but long legged tights are too warm. Leg warmers provide for the perfect medium

But see, you are using your leg warmers for their intended purpose.

I dare say that in Florida or Alabama, there was never a good reason to have to wear them except to be fashionable.
