Gut, good luck with everything today. I'll be thinking of you.

MRD and Ellen, you're not alone. I'm not a fast food eater, and many of my friends feel the same way. I'd rather eat at a sitdown restaurant, or my own apartment, or at my mother's kitchen table any day.

MRD, I don't know. The site wouldn't allow me in, wouldn't recognize my password, wouldn't email me a new password, and after many days of not being able to write , I decided to re-register as famita2 (too). It's great to be able to write again!

    You got my prayers, Gut.

I stopped eating at fast food joints before Morgan Spurlock's Supersize Me! came out -- but seeing that film really confirmed my decision to not support the fast food industry.

Besides, my hubby and I can cook quick, healthy meals for less time and money (especially by shopping farmers' markets; Trader Joe's; and our local independent butcher, seafood market, and grocer -- NOT chain supermarkets!) than fast food. And, in the long run, what with our crappy HMO, we figure we'll also save on medical expenses.

DH and I stopped eating fast food when he was told he had an issue with processed foods. 2 weeks ago he drove to Oregon for his daughter's graduation and all the way back he stopped and got them fast food and during the week they were here he continued to indulge in fast food. He feels horrible, cannot sleep well and has had aches and pains. We're back on him eating healthy and things are getting better.
    Yup, with donuts!!
