It has got to be a regional thing. The noon time meal has always been referred to as lunch and the evening meal as dinner in my family. Must be a west coast thing.

That's a funny site. My friend continually brings it up.Quote:

No - and not sure if I'd want to... PHEW!
Wow, your bus must have been aromatic today. Don't they have to hit the showers after practice?
Somewhere near where you live, livin4reality, I suspect there's a store that's completely sold out of those hanging cardboard air freshener thingies!
I think I'd get a hat and have several attached to dangle near my face. :lolQuote:

They smell pretty good in the morning, before practice. That scent that they are all into..Axe? I think it's called. But after 2 3 hours practices it gets pretty fragrant. We are transport from their dorm to the practice schools. Just found out that all the coaches in the KU atletic dept. get free cars...nice perk.
We have a friend that moved here a couple months ago. He's my husband's best friend and yesterday he came over with a kitchen aid mixer under his arm and GAVE it to me. His Uncle works for K.A. and gave it to him. It's practically brand new. He says in 5 years, he's only used it a few times and doesn't need it and since I now feed him on a regular basis, he thought I should have it. I have coveted K.A. mixers for years and would never spend the money on one.
I was thrilled beyond words. So I had him over for dinner tonight and I had made a cake and icing in the new mixer. He was so happy that I sent him home with 1/4 of the cake.
He told me he loves coming here to eat and couldn't think of a way to pay back the hospitality and figured I could use the mixer more than he would. He's right about that, I will use it a LOT! I loved using it today. It's so nice to turn it on and walk away and do something else in the kitchen rather than stand there holding the mixer. :)
I bought an old, old Oster stand mixer a few months ago from a friends yard sale and it died the 2nd time I used it and I couldn't get it fixed, I was so disappointed, but now I have a kitchen aid. I am SO happy! It's made my whole month!
