Why would I lie about being older than they think I am? Don't most people who lie about their age, make themselves younger?
Not if the are smart. ALWAYS lie up! Then when you're fifty and tell people that you're 70, they'll think you look amazingly great for your age

Superbrat I do the same thing. The internet is a wonderful thing. Everyone I know is so amazed about what I can find out about stuff, but really google? hello! Ex: Friday I told my kids, I want a paper done on study habits. They were floored and when I told them to google it, they were sure they would'nt find any info in study habits. Guess who was right?

MRD I run into the same thing all the time. People always think I'm much younger than I am...and thus must lack credability about certain topics.
I very much believe in rescuing animals, not buying them.

Great minds think alike Newf--I've always said that if I lied and said I'm 39, people would wonder what on earth had happened to make me look so old; if I claim to be 57, they'll be thinking I look great for my age!
I have found the Truth and it doesn't make sense.

I have that happen to me too. I started a thread about it a few years back.

Cantgetnuf, that was a great thread, I just went back and re-read it and laughed my butt off.

Livin, that's it exactly. I feel that I have no credibility on certain subjects because people think I'm younger than I am (bad problem to have right? )
I wish I was more succient. You said in one sentence what it takes me paragraphs to write!

Newf and Queenb, that's a great idea. I will start lying up!

That is true. When we lived in Peru I couldn't understand why there were fields and fields of Marigolds. I was told they were used to feed the chickens to make the yolks more yellow.

OK, somebody tell the dumb kid what 'succient' means.
