My dog is currently on a boiled chicken or boiled hamburger and rice diet. The other day she came back in from a walk, went over to her bowl, stuck her nose in it and was disgusted that there was only rice left so she picked up a mouthful, tossed it in the air and turned around and glared. I'm dreading her reaction to the return of kibble.

OH NO! Read this: When my Dad & Moms recently departed Missy the Bassett Hound was a pup, she had some kind of digestive problem or something. There were 2 options - 1- Buy the special diet food (cost money) or 2- make her boiled chicken, hamburger with rice and sweet potato or green beans. Mom though -forget the food, we have all that other stuff around usually anyway. For the rest of Missys' 12 years she absolutely REFUSED (YES REFUSED to eat period)anything except that food, until the last 3 or 4 years when she allowed Mom to put some kibble in there and not do the green beans, sweet potato or rice, but til the very end had to be some chicken or ground beef with a smidgen of gravy....

    Good luck Mariner

Eek, gabriel. Libby is 10 so it's not like she's not used to kibble. Still.

Oh well, if she hasn't been on it too long.... but... even us old people find something we really like.

None of us are old here!! I have to say I've found that I can't fall asleep unless I have my pillows lined up in a row and 2 fans on! I actually take the fans and the pillows when we travel!! If I were a dog, I would probably only want something I liked too!

I travel with my pillows too. And I have to have my "baby pillow" which is a small pillow I've had since I was little that I have to hold onto and prop my chin on, otherwise I can't sleep.
I also can't sleep anywhere but in a bed. I don't doze off on the sofa or in a chair and forget sleeping on planes. I have to be vertical with my baby pillow under my chin or I can't sleep.

We all have our habits, even the dogs.

I don't do the fans though. I have 2 comforters on me and the electric mattress pad that I use even in summer. I hate cold sheets. But I also have to sleep with one foot outside the blankets. Weird, but it's a habit

Not that weird, my father from what I've heard slept with a foot outside the blanket at all times.
