    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

So yesterday mr buglover and I went to the casino. Upon arrival I always need to use the restroom after the long drive. I go into the stall and there is plastic all over the seat connected to a gadget on the back. First time I've ever seen this! I push the button and the old plastic moves and new plastic is put over the seat. My question is does the gadget in the back clean the seat cover before rolling more out? Where does it go if it's thrown away? I'm not really into the new things so I have no idea how it works.
    Yup, with donuts!!

I saw so many celebs that I had to keep a running list of the folks that I saw so that could share it with you guys! I actually saw Carson Daly (is Jimmy Neutron based on this man?), Smokey Robinson (a friend of my sister's), Carrie Ann Inaba, Nick Lachey, Bo Derek, Bobby Flay, Michael Jordan, Hugh Hefner (ewwwwww!), Joey Fatone, Warren Moon, and useless Bob Guiney (sp?). I'm really saw more celebs, but I didn't have a pen to make my list at the time! Where was Oprah, my hero???

If you ever have the chance to get there, don't pass it up. It is an amazing event. And it gives you an excuse to buy a really cool, fun, glamazon hat!! Whack-o guys, as well!
How awesome for you to go to the Kentucky Derby but how heartbreaking with the outcome of Eight Belles. I've never been around horses so I am slightly intimidated by them but I definitely can appreciate their beauty and speed.

I would have been starstruck seeing all the celebrities....during the broadcast on NBC they showed Joey Fatone along with Travis Tritt and his wife. I've seen pics of Hef with his 3 girlfriends...also saw pics of Taylor Hicks (did you see him????!), Michael McDonald, Jenny McCarthy, Larry Birkhead, Taylor Dayne, Eddie Money, Bo Derek, David Wells (baseball player), Adrien Griener (Entourage), Chelsea Clinton, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag (The Hills), Michael Irvin.....

What kind of hat did you wear prhoshay?

I bet that today they are all bragging that they got to see the one and only prhoshay

I finally got out of bed! My hat was a brimmed black and white number...not too wide (slightly narrower than my shoulder span) since I am a shorty and don't like doing the mushroom thing, if you know what I mean.

And, when I saw Nick Lachey, he was with another man but that doesn't mean that Vanessa M. was not there. I forgot to mention that I did catch a glimpse of Chelsea Clinton, too.

That sounds like it was a lot of fun. What was your favorite hat that you saw?

Saw this large, sheer, fluffy lavendar hat on this tall woman...probably 6 feet, easily, that was absolutely gorgeous! It is still in my mind's eye.

And, I don't know about you, but my tongue thinks mint juleps are disgusting!

And gorgeously dressed women are not pretty when they get drunk, and stagger! It's a long day. Wish folks would figure that out and learn how to pace themselves if they HAVE to drink alcohol!

I have seen this happen before and have always thought the same thing. They tend to end up looking like makeup smeared, stumbling bar flys for some reason.

Mint Julips are not my favorite even though I like bourbon. I prefer mojitos for a mint flavored drink. They pack a punch too!

Do they serve the mint julips in silver cups at the derby?

    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

My social calender has exploded this week. I go for weeks where I do NOTHING and then it all hits at the same time.

I have a meeting tonight, tomorrow was invited to dinner, Wed. is the Tet Offensive Forty years later lecture at the museum, Thur is book club and Fri. is a HUGE reception with big time guest speaker for the museum (and they put ME in charge of the beer and wine. ). Sat. is the Cornbread and Collard Greens Blues Festival with Mac Arnold.

Whew, I am NEVER this busy and am never out of the house this many evenings.
Since all of the events involve food, I won't have to cook all week, so that is great!

I need a date to the Cornbread and Collard Greens blues festival. Hubby is out of town again. Anyone want to go listen to some great old fashioned blues and eat greens and cornbread with me?
