Thanks all. I'm a fairly shy person so playing a joke on the loudspeaker was kindof scary.

MRD-that would be so sweet of your DD to do. We have a lady here in town who comes to disabled peoples home to do haircuts. She only charges $30 per head and does a booming business.

famita-I second what veejer says. Walk in your new shoes a lot. And keep those shoulders back!
I very much believe in rescuing animals, not buying them.

What a great tip, livin! I used to love dresses and heels in my high school years (suffice it to say a long time ago ) and I would definitely need to practice if the need arose to actually wear heels in public! The only times I have needed to wear them in the past few years is at funerals and weddings that took place outdoors - so I could get by with looking a bit awkward since we were on grass

My news anchor is in a lovely green today, a little lighter than sage! She looks fabulous!!! I am so happy for her!

I just hate it when people just want to dish dirt about somebody when they could easily do something more constructive in that person's better interest. I ask you.....what do they have to lose by reaching out? It's not so much what you say, as how you say it.

Livin. the school charges $10 for a shampoo and set and they charge $14 for a cut, shampoo and set, so it really would make it a lot more affordable for those seniors that are on a restricted budget. The ones that can make it to the school, go, but sometimes some of them can't.

    Famita, sounds like its covered.
Check with Macy's or Dillards and see if you can make an appointment to have your makeup done. Most of them will do it for free, hoping to sell you the products. You can buy the lipstick to carry in your purse for the wedding.
But check with them as it will be nice to have someone else do your makeup for a special occasion. At least, I think it is, as I've done this a couple times and so have a lot of other people I know. (they always do BIG business around prom time)

Happy birthday, to Mr. mrd. And what a great idea from teen mrd. It's so nice to hear that teens are concerned with other things besides cell phones.

And I have to agree with the breaking in high heels suggestion. I wore some new heels to a wedding last year, and they hurt so much I had to take them off and wear flip flops!

There you go! - But I actually think rosie is his little girl and Bogie is her boy... but I can be confused sometimes.
