See, that's why I don't mind snakes. They can't climb stairs and get in your pantry. The snakes take care of the mice in the basement, the cats take care of the mice upstairs.
    Count your blessings!

She didn't have snakes, though. She had D-Con.

Really? I thought they weren't selling them because of the lawsuit from NBC against Guthy Renker and the estate of Greg Garrison. ETA - The lawsuit as I find was settled Jan 2.

    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

I have a question for you male forters.

Let me explain first. After some discussions with my female friends and neighbors and my own observations of my husband and father, I have to ask, what is the male obsession with getting the mail?

My husband can't stand it and rushes out as soon as he hears the mail truck. My dad when he retired would go sit outside and wait for the mailman to drive up. Before he retired, he had a P.O. Box for his office and the mail at home and he was obsessed with getting to both of them before anyone else. And it seems to be the same with my husband and other friends husbands and dads.

Me, I can let that stuff sit out there at least a day or two. It's all bills and junk anyway.

So just what is it exactly you guys are hoping is going to be in the mailbox and Newf, I can read your mind already and we don't get Playboy.

myrosie, my dad is the same way with the mail. I think he passed it down to me because I'm the mail fetcher in my house. My husband couldn't care less about the mail unless he's specifically expecting something, and even then I'm the one who goes to get it. I don't think he's opened a mailbox anywhere we've lived, ever. I don't know why I like to get it, but there's just something about taking it out and skimming for something good. Usually it's just bills and junk mail but on days when we don't get anything at all, I can't stand it. You'd think I'd be happy that at least there aren't any bills but for some reason I'm disappointed .

You know, I'm still thinking about the snakes and mice, and any other offensive critter that may invade. If I've got snakes and mice and whatever else in my home, I'm thinking that that is some place that I don't need to be living anyway. Time.To.Go! Obviously, somebody is trying to send me a sign...and I've learned to pay attention to the signs!

I don't get excited about mail delivery. I go months without getting any personal mail; receiving junk mail and bills doesn't provide much of a thrill. I'm down to one magazine subscription (Skeptical Inquirer,) and since it comes just six times a year, I don't hang out waiting for it.

Just for the record, I never subscribed to Playboy or similar magazines, and it's been close to twenty years since I've looked at one.
