Was the roast already thawed when you put it in the slowcooker, PGM35? Ive heard of some people adding water to roasts in slowcookers. Did you?

Yes, it was thawed but I defrosted it in the microwave - I have the button for meat, poultry and fish and you put in the lbs and it measures the defrost time. So that took about 10-15 min and then I put it in with onions and carrots and a little bit of water. Normally, I wouldn't add the water but like i said before, I was freaked out by leaving it ON while I wasn't home. I know - that is what they are for!!!

The bad weather managed to miss me but about 30 minutes away from me a tornado touched down (I think it was a F3) and killed 4 people (so far)....I love storms and I'm not afraid of them but I definitely don't like tornadoes coming through at night when you can't see them.

I hope Muduh is OK there in Memphis too! They caught some storms/tornadoes too...

I got a great deal on a crib bedding because it was the last one and it was used as a demo. However, I noticed there is an ink stain on the comforter. I don't know how old it is. What is the best way of removing it?

Found this online but never tried it. I am assuming regular ballpoint ink -

Ballpoint Ink Stains

Lay the stained area on top of a clean dry white towel. Apply rubbing alcohol to the ink stain and blot with another clean white cloth, removing the stain as you blot. Rinse thoroughly.

Apply your normal liquid laundry detergent onto the ink stain and allow the garment to sit for 3-5 minutes.

Before drying, double check to make sure the stain was removed. If not, repeat the previous steps until it is.

I've used hairspray successfully on ball point pen stains.

Problem is, I'm assuming these solutions are for fresh stains. Still, I'll try the rubbing alcohol and report back.

I've used the hairspray on ink stains that I've accidentally washed and dried already.

eta: I keep a cheap basic hairspray in my laundry room. No extra-hold or anything.
