We had lunch with my 3rd grade teacher at her retirement community today. I overheard the people at the next table talking about Groundhog's Day. This guy's lunch companion (I guess she was his wife) responded with "If you ever yank me out of my bed on a cold weekend morning you'd be better off with some gloves on too!"

That happened to me too Miss Kitty. I was up every 2 hours last night. I was hot, then cold, then hot, then thirsty and now I'm up and wish I was back in bed, but I gave up because I just could not sleep more than 2 hours at a time and then was WIDE awake. But I didn't have coffee, so I don't know why I had such a difficult time sleeping.

Doxie, that is too funny about the Groundhog.

Amy Lee, I'm sorry to hear about your food poisening. Next time you get swelling like that, take an anti-histimine, it will definetly help the swelling and also, swelling up like that can be dangerous if it happens to your throat and the anti-histimine will really help.

I was going to make potato salad today, but have now lost my desire for it.

I incited my own food poisoning today. Let me tell you, i got sick while out with my brother. Suddenly, while at the store, my palms start to itch. Soon, i feel it in my eyes, they're getting irritated and swollen. My lips start to plump up to the point where i look like a platypus, my nose hardened and felt like leather and then my face just got numb. My stomach started hurting and i went straight home. The way home was horrid, i lost all my energy in seconds and had to stop at a park to sit. My brother got scared and so did i, didnt want to pass out and leave him there. I eventually got enough strength to finish the walk home, when we got there, it was straight to my mom room. I told my brother to get me some lemon, a cup and some salt. I started drinking it and it settle my stomach down. Then, my mom got me seltzer water and it handled the rest. This is probably the last time i eat days old potato salad. And i love 'tato salad.

Since allergic reactions can bring you close to death and/or kill....I sure hope you can identify the difference between food poisoning and allergic reactions! Either way, I think I would have been in somebody's ER, with your symptoms.

Count me in on the next to nothing sleep train. It is raining and I got hot and cold all night as well. Not to mention some new people were moving into their apartment in the next complex until 3 am. Who moves in at 3am?

That's exactly what I was thinking, because some of those symptoms sounded a lot like an allergic reaction. Amy Lee, you might want to think about getting yourself checked out?
