My son is having surgery tomorrow (Friday) at 8:30 a.m. to repair an old basketball injury to his ankle. Not a drastic thing, I know, but any surgery is a risk, so if you have a prayer to spare for him, I'd appreciate it. He's 6'5" and very athletic and active, so pray for a speedy recovery, too. Thanks!

6'5"? What are you feeding that boy? I hope everything goes perfectly and he is out of the hospital quickly. They probably don't keep enough food on hand to keep him from being hungry.

He's in college now, but when he was in high school his daily after school snack was an entire frozen pizza, half a gallon of milk, a large bag of baby carrots, and a bag of microwave popcorn... and he was never fat! He played basketball and swam on the swimteam. In fact, he still holds most of the records on the record board for every age level. I'm just afraid he won't listen to the after-surgery rules and will try to be active too quickly.

He was in heaven when an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet moved in at the bottom of our hill. Of course now he's got a college meal ticket which is pretty much all-you-can-eat.
