The Dean Martin Variety DVDs are no longer for sale. NBC is suing Guthy- Renker and Gregg Garrisons estate for unlawful use of the show. The basis is that the "handshake" 50/50 deal that Gregg Garrison always claimed he had with Dean (always after his death) was not legal or did not exist. I'll keep you posted. - Both the book by Ricci Martin "That's Amore" and Deana Martin "Memories are Made of This" , mention the fact that the will that was used for Deans estate was dated only 11 days before his death, and Ricci's book tells that one of Deans caretakers refused to witness it because Dean wasn't in his right mind. (He had been diagnosed with Alzheimers in 1991, as had Sinatra) So whoever brought the will over had the temporary nurse witness it. NBC is now claiming that thye wanted to release the shows that were not erased, in their entirety. The Garrison/Guthy-Renker DVDs are not complete shows, but clips. (Garrison claimed that it was because they could not get releases from everyone)

I'm thinking it might be time for me to watch the Sons of Katie Elder again. I LOVE that movie. Rio Bravo has been playing all month on AMC. I like that one because he sings with Ricky Nelson in that one.

Gabriel, thanks for the photos. That Yvonne Decarlo would've been during WWII, I can see her making an impression on a young lad.

Between Cloony, Pitt, and Damon? Heck I'd be happy with any of them.

Ellen, my DH would join you in your Brett Favre worship.

I love Olivia deHavalind. Did I spell that right? I just watched a movie she won a academy award for.. The Heiress. Good movie. I've got To Each His Own on the queue at netflix.

I would have to go with Broadway Joe Namath as my favorite pro player. Just something about him when I was an impressionable young teen that still has me swooning.

Of course you know I have these movies on either VHS or DVD, and can watch at anytime but I did watch Rio Bravo on AMC Another of the good movies is Five Card Stud with Robert Mitchum.

Robert Mitchum. Now there's another one that was good looking and had that special something.

I went on Amazon and the individual tapes of shows are going for around $35 (from the infomercials). Now I wish I had gone and gotten them a year ago. Maybe some day at a flea market...

I suppose if people bought them, they can sell them. It's just that Guthey- Renker cannot distribute them any longer. I think I paid like 49.99 for two DVDs every other month.

Brett Favre seems to be the object of a number of "man crushes." Terry Bradshaw, for example, I'm convinced, has a man crush on him, too. It's kinda cute!
