    Re: FORT Koffee Klatch

I'll be taking my kids to the airport this afternoon. Anyone with a prayer to spare, request a safe journey. My pilot daughter has to fly STAND-BY for her flight today or tomorrow. So she's the one I'm more worried about. I'll breathe a sigh of relief once I know they're all driving my mom crazy at her house.

Gut, prayers for a safe journey for them all.

I love my big fuzzy slippers except for one thing. I can't walk normally in them, so I kind of scuff along and every so often I end up tripping because I'm not picking my feet up. But they sure are warm.

I didn't know there was a Christmas Story Monopoly. I must have it.

Travel prayers sent for your daughter, Gut.

I think it's new this year.

We put up our Christmas decorations the weekend after Thanksgiving and then on that Sun. night, we pop in the DVD of A Christmas Story and watch it with the tree lights glowing.

Daughter says we must buy the game (with her discount at Barnes and Noble. ) and now play that while we watch the movie.

One year Spencer's gifts were selling leg lamps and my husband almost bought me one. While it would have been funny. I think I would have had the same reaction as Ralphies mom to having that in my living room.

    from Dagwood:
I didn't know there was a Christmas Story Monopoly. I must have it.
Same here -- I want it, too! (especially the leg lamp token)

    from Gutmutter:
I'll breathe a sigh of relief once I know they're all driving my mom crazy at her house.
Is Dan going, too? To help with cleaning out the fridge?
Anyway -- good thoughts and prayers for your kids' safe travel, and for anyone else going over the meadow and through the woods.

Thanks one and all. No, Dan will be here, so I'm going to try again to get myself in a better mind frame and cook a big dinner. I think I'll do the shopping for it when I get home from the airport.

Gut, my prayers and good thoughts are with your family. So it's just going to be you and Dan for T-Day? I vote you drag him to one of the missions (if you have access) for the American experience of serving others on T-Day. They are usually looking for volunteers.
